To ask this CRM send an e-mail to mrc-solicitacao@inmetro.gov.br, This Certified Reference Material (CRM) consists of a white powder of hydroxyapa-te (HA) in a crystalline phase with anisotropic morphology (HA-a), synthesized from the reaction between calcium nitrate tetrahydrate and diammonium hydrogen phosphate. The calcium to phosphorus (Ca/P) molar ratio of this CRM is consistent with the theoretical molar ratio of 1.67 and the stoichiometric composition of hydroxyapa-te with the chemical formula of Ca10 (PO4 )6 (OH)2 . Each unit of this CRM consists of a vial of approximately 2 g of HA-a powder.

Intended use

This CRM is intended for use in quality control and method development and validation for
measuring the physical and chemical properties of apatites with biological, geological or synthetic
origin. The commutativity of this CRM has not been evaluated.
